Money, minus the spreadsheet.
Penny is a personal-finance app built on one idea: you shouldn't need an accounting degree — or your bank login — to understand your money.
Why we built Penny
Most budgeting apps treat you like an accountant. They ask you to link every account, reconcile every transaction, and categorize a backlog you never wanted. It's a lot of work for a spreadsheet that tells you what you already spent.
We wanted the opposite: log a purchase in five seconds, tag it your way, and get back something useful — a clear picture of where your money actually goes, and a budget that keeps up with real life.
What makes Penny different
- Insights over accounting. See spending by tag, merchant, or habit — not just a ledger. Penny turns your entries into patterns you can act on.
- Budget by your paycheck. Your budget follows your pay cycle, not the calendar — so a daily allowance that reflects when you actually get paid.
- Start in five seconds. No bank login, no account linking, no setup marathon. Open the app and start.
- Yours, and private. You enter your data, and it stays yours. We don't sell it, and you can delete everything with one tap. See our Privacy Policy.
Who's behind Penny
Penny is built by Tigran Nazaryan, an independent developer (registered Individual Entrepreneur) based in Yerevan, Armenia. It's a small, independent project — which means the person building the app is the same one who reads your feedback and answers your emails.
